The Benedictine Sisters of the Sacred Heart to Hold Presentation on “Hospitality, a Commitment to Action” on June 11

On June 11, the Benedictine Sisters of the Sacred Heart are sponsoring “Hospitality, a Commitment to Action,” a presentation modeled on St. Benedict’s Rule: The Reception of Guests. In Chapter 53, St. Benedict uses welcoming, action words that compel us to commit ourselves to offer hospitality to our guests as if we were seeing Christ Himself in them.

The Sisters will focus especially on those whose needs are critical in our present-day society and will review the hospitable actions being done in the Diocese and in the American Church, with particular attention to immigrants.

The event will be held on June 11, from 7-8:30 p.m., at the Sacred Heart Monastery,  1910 Maple Ave. in Lisle. The presenters will be Sister
Christine Kouba and Cathy Lentz. For more information, check out www.shmlisle.org.  or contact Beth Hemzacek at ehemzacek@shmlisle.org
