Spirit Hockey Camp is just around the corner. Help us start it off right by joining all the campers at the Upstairs Room at the Darien Sportsplex, 451 Plainfield Road, in Darien, for a Catholic Family Night on Sunday, July 15. Bishop Thomas Paprocki, the bishop for the Diocese of Springfield — known as the “Holy Goalie” for his love of hockey and for his ability to play in goal on the hockey rink — will be present. There will be a Mass, starting at 5 p.m., followed by praise and worship music and free pizza and fellowship. Brian Campbell — former NHL defenseman and Stanley Cup winner with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2010 — will sign autographs and participate in a Q and A. Also participating in a Q and A will be Mark van Guilder, a professional hockey player in Switzerland, and Tom Lynn, from Veritas Hockey, a sports agency that represents professional hockey players worldwide. Bishop Paprocki will cap off the Family Night with a talk regarding a book called “Holiness Revolution.”
Register today for the camp, which will run from July 16-19 at the Darien SportsPlex. Click here to register and for more information.
