On Jan. 26, St. Ann Catholic Church in Channahon held its 3rd -Annual All-Catholic Life Retreat. This is St. Ann’s largest one-night retreat and has been a very successful staple in the Religious Education program under the leadership of Father Peter Jarosz, St. Ann’s pastor. One hundred and ten students participated in the retreat. The students heard keynote speaker, Father Burke Masters, the diocesan director of vocations, talk about vocations and were treated to pizza, popcorn and candy.
After Father Burke spoke, the students were divided into groups and traveled to eight different 15-minute presentations about topics involving Catholic life. The topics included purity, Catholic art’ prison ministry, Eucharistic miracles, mission work, the Dead Sea Scrolls, spiritual yoga and vocations.
