Ignatian Volunteer Corps to Hold Informational Sessions at Various Parishes Starting on Feb. 22

Semi-Retired?  Retired? Open the Doors of Your Heart!

The Ignatian Volunteer Corps (IVC) may be for you. Members of this Jesuit service program serve in needy communities two days per week  (September-June), grow deeper in their Christian faith by reflecting and praying in the Jesuit Catholic tradition, and meet monthly with other IVC members and a spiritual reflector. IVC members serve as tutors, employment counselors, food pantry volunteers, elderly companions, hospital chaplains and more. Detailed information is online at www.ivcusa.org (click on “Chicago”). Here are several upcoming information sessions at parishes around the diocese: Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle, Napervile; March 8 at 2 p.m. at St. Isaac Jogues, Hinsdale; March 22  at  2 p.m. at St. Margaret Mary, Naperville; May 3  at 2 p.m. St. Daniel the Prophet, Wheaton.
