Ecumenical Adult Care to Hold Fundraising Event on June 3

Ecumenical Adult Care of Naperville (EAC) is a 501c3 charitable organization that has been serving the surrounding communities for over 30 years by providing a safe and fun environment for seniors who aren’t able to stay alone because of cognitive impairment or physical disability. Family caregivers count on EAC to provide care and social interaction for their loved ones while they are at work during the day or for respite.

To keep fees affordable for everyone who needs help, Ecumenical is holding its first annual fundraising event, Trivia for a Cause, on June 3 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the DuPage Unitarian Universalist Church (1828 Old Naperville Rd. in Naperville). Local celebrity and Trivia Master, Mary Jane Doody, will entertain and challenge attendees on a variety of topics. Hors d’oeuvres, wine and a local craft beer will be served throughout the event with cake and coffee afterward. EAC’s trained staff will be available to care for loved ones in a separate room adjacent to the main hall while caregivers participate in the event.

Ecumenical hopes to reach their goal of $12,500 for this event. The ticket price is $40 per person (family members needing care are free). There will be a couple of other opportunities to support EAC during the event and the Naperville Newcomers and Neighbors Club is matching donations to $3,500.

Tickets are available by calling Laura Milligan, executive director, at 630.357.8166 or by visiting EACTrivia.eventbrite.com. Anyone who would like to support EAC but is unable to attend may donate at the Ecumenical Adult Care of Naperville Facebook page.
