The Serra Club of DuPage, an organization supporting vocations to the priesthood and religious life, will host a gathering on Monday, March 13, at St Michael’s Parish in Wheaton. The evening will begin with a rosary and Mass at 6 p.m., celebrated by Fr. Tony Taschetta. Dinner will follow in the Parish Center.
Guest speaker at the di
nner, Sister Claire Vandborg, IBVM, taught in several Catholic grade schools before earning a master’s degree in pastoral studies from the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. She became RCIA director at Immaculate Conception Church in Morris and now works directly for her community at Wheaton as provincial secretary, in the Office of Communications, and director of Vocation Ministry. She is a member of the National Religious Vocations Conference, a professional association for vocation directors.
