Items Needed for St. John the Baptist-Sponsored Food Drive in Joliet

St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Food Bank serves over 124 families a week in the 60435 area west of the river in Joliet. The pantry is open every Monday, from 9-11:30 a.m. and is staffed entirely by volunteers.  The pantry relies heavily on donations from individuals, community groups, schools, and organizations. Their busiest months include the holidays and summer months when children are home and cannot participate in school nutritional programs. This food drive is fulfilling our scheduled commitment held monthly during the 4th weekend at St. Joseph’s Church.

Donations of non-perishable items for the “Fill The Truck” Food Drive should be dropped off at the Homecoming Fair, located at St. Joe’s Park, from noon-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 26. Items needed include: personal hygiene items, laundry and dish soap, paper goods, canned goods, cleaning products.
