To extend peace and well wishes, the seventh and eighth graders of St. Mary Nativity Catholic School made May Day Baskets for the residents at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home.  The Christian virtue that the students are concentrating on in the month of May is peace.  So this activity was planned for them to put together baskets in the forgotten tradition for May Day to bring peace and joy to those living at OLA.  The baskets were woven from construction paper.  Students created and designed their own flowers to fill the baskets along with candy and prayer cards.  The baskets were dropped off at the retirement home for their delivery on May 1.
