St. Mary Immaculate Parish Sponsors Men’s Event on Nov. 20 as Part of Upcoming Year of Mercy

On Friday, Nov. 20, Father John Regan will be the guest speaker as part of Brothers in Christ celebrating their 12th anniversary. The group consists of men seeking to deepen their relationships with Jesus Christ through fellowship with other men and by the application of Sacred Scripture to their daily lives. All men 18 and older — including fathers and grandfathers — can come, and can also bring their sons or grandsons, 10 years old or older, if they wish. The talk will be at St. Mary Immaculate Parish in Plainfield in the the Faith Sharing and Harvester Rooms at 6 p.m. Pizza and salad will be served, as well as soda and water. Seating is limited. Please RSVP by calling Ted Castro Sr. at 815-439-0541  and indicate how many are coming.

In anticipation of the upcoming Year of Mercy, Father John Regan’s talk will be entitled “Father of Mercy,” focusing on “God, the Father of Mercy” and a man’s call to live in God’s image as “a Father of mercy” within his family, in the Church, and in the community.
