St. Alexander Parish will celebrate a Mass on Dec. 13 at 5 p.m. in celebration of its 90th anniversary as a parish, and the dedication of a newly-commissioned statue of the parish’s patron saint: St. Alexander. The Mass will be celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Joseph M. Siegel and concelebrated by Father Mark Cote, the parish’s pastor, and as many former pastors and associates as are able to attend.
Instead of an Advent penance service, there will be individual confessions on Dec. 4, 11, and 18 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is also available each Saturday at 4 p.m., and in Spanish each Sunday at 5:30 p.m. Father Cote encourages every to make the sacrament part of their Advent preparations.
Also, St. Alexander’s announces is Christmas schedule:
* Christmas Eve Masses: 4 p.m.; 6:30 p.m.; and midnight
* Christmas Day Masses: 8:30 a.m.; 10:30 p.m.; and 6 p.m. in Spanish
* Mary the Mother of God, January 1, 2015 Masses: 9 a.m.; 7 p.m. and 1 p.m. in Spanish
