Diocesan Missions to Bolivia – Are You Being Called?

The Joliet Diocese–Partnership in Missions announces the formation of medical and construction teams to serve in Sucre, Bolivia. The mission will leave on April 11 and return on April 25, 2015. Missions have been going to Sucre, Bolivia, since 1994.

Surgeons are needed in the following specialties: general, plastic, ENT, orthopedic and pediatric. Also needed are anesthesiologists or nurse anesthetists, as well as operating and recovery room nurses. Staff nurses, preferable Hispanic are sought to teach post–op care.

For our field clinics we need pediatricians and/or pediatric nurse practitioners. Family practitioners, internists, ER doctors and dentists are also sought.

A construction and outreach team will join this mission. We invite men and women who would like to assist local people in building homes and to work in outreach programs for the poor. No special construction skills are necessary, just willing hands and a warm heart.

Donations of surgical supplies are greatly needed and deeply appreciated. We especially ask for your prayers.

An information meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 22, at 7 p.m., at the Blanchette Catholic Center, 16555 Weber Rd., Crest Hill..
