Providence Catholic to Host Annual Summer Youth Camps

Providence Catholic High School is sponsoring the return of its annual Youth Summer Camp Program.  There will be six academic camps and 17 athletic camps offered this summer.  “These camps provide quality interaction between campers and their dedicated coaches and instructors and are very well attended,” said Doug Ternik, PCHS athletic director.

The school is nationally renowned for its record number of IHSA State Championship titles, which is now up to 26, more than any other private school in the state.  Camps are open to students in grades 1 through 9, depending on the camp.  Participants will have the opportunity to learn something new, enhance their knowledge and skills and practice the concepts of good sportsmanship and teamwork.  The 2014 Providence Catholic Youth Summer Camps include:

Athletic Camps include:  Baseball, Basketball (boys/girls/coed), Football, Soccer (coed), Softball, Tennis (boys/girls), Track & Field (coed), Volleyball (boys/girls) and Wrestling

Academic Camp includes: Art, Band, Drumline/Guard, Public Speaking, Scholastic Team Training and Technology

All camps will be held at Providence Catholic High School, which is located at 1800 W. Lincoln Highway in New Lenox.  Please visit www.providencecatholic.org (click on the “Summer Camps” button) for more specific camp information including dates, times and fees or to download a summer_camp2014 brochure.
